Region V CSCC Substance Abuse Prevention Coordination Program

In partnership with Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency (SENDCAA), Region V Children’s Services Coordinating Committee continues to be the lead agency for the Substance Abuse Prevention Coordination program. This initiative is intended to provide comprehensive prevention program development for individuals, families, and communities in Region V (Cass, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Traill and Steele counties).

The Region V Children’s Services Coordinating Committee’s Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator exists to assist individuals and groups working to empower youth, families, schools, and communities with the tools and resources for reducing underage alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.

Community task forces or coalitions are groups of concerned citizens in the communities that want to help promote, prevent, and advocate for a  healthy and safe community.  The coalitions often include students, teachers, counselors, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, parents, and representatives from the faith community.

If you are interested in joining a community task force or starting one in Region V of North Dakota, please contact Corey Ernst at (800) 726-7960 or at rvsapc@sendcaa.org.
