Weatherization Assistance Program
WAP is the nation’s core program for delivering energy efficiency services to low-income households. Weatherization determines which energy efficiency measures are appropriate, emphasizing the most cost-effective measures and those which are essential for the health and safety of the occupants. The following are services that may be provided:
-Installing insulation/roof vents
-Replacing doors and dryer vent
-Furnace efficiency test/Furnace cleaning/Furnace filters
-Weatherize windows and doors
-Water heater jackets
-Caulking for air leak
-Foam to insulate rim joist
-Seal up duct work
-Infrared test and blower door test to check for air leaks
-Energy Kit (flourescent light bulbs, outlet gaskets, etc.)
