Weatherization Assistance Program

WAP is the nation’s core program for delivering energy efficiency services to low-income households. Weatherization determines which energy efficiency measures are appropriate, emphasizing the most cost-effective measures and those which are essential for the health and safety of the occupants. The following are services that may be provided:

-Check and install insulation
-Seal cracks in ceilings, walls, and foundations
-Seal duct work
-Insulate water lines
-Install roof & dryer vents
-Weatherize doors and windows
-Test furnace efficiency
-Make minor repairs to ensure health and safety
