More Weatherization Assistance Programs

Emergency Furnace Repair and Furnace/Water Heater Replacement
Furnace repairs and replacements and water heater replacements are allowed under one of the following conditions:

-Repair or replacement is justified by an increase in the unit’s efficiency
-It is required because of a potential or immediate threat to the client’s health and/or safety

Residential Energy Education Program
The program’s goal is to reduce energy costs to low-income persons by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety. The following are services that may be provided:

-The energy educator meets with you
-Your current energy usage is reviewed
-Utility bill is reviewed and analyzed
-Discussion of energy conservation recommendations
-Referral to other agencies if needed
-Each client receives a free Conservation Kit that includes products to help reduce utility costs
-Each client receives a personalized booklet detailing possible energy conservation life style changes to be considered
