Cass County Request for Housing Assistance
To apply for rent assistance, utility assistance, security deposit, or any other emergency assistance
Contact FirstLink by calling 2-1-1 (or 701-235-7335) and let them know what assistance you need. They will get some basic information from you. Then someone from Presentation Partners in Housing will call you to complete the full application with you over the phone.
Next Steps
Several agencies (Presentation Partners, SENDCAA, YWCA, Salvation Army) meet once a week to review these applications and if an agency has an opening, a worker from that agency will contact you directly to begin the process with that agency. For example, you may get a call from a worker at SENDCAA or Salvation Army, and they will then make an appointment with you to complete specific agency paperwork with you to help with rent. If at any time anything changes with your situation or you have questions about your application, you can call 2-1-1, let them know that you’ve already completed a screening/application and leave the information or message about the changes or question.
If there are no agencies that are able to help this week, you will receive a letter in the mail with resources listed.
